Atelier St Thomas Arts Foundation, dba 81C Arts is a locally and federally recognized non-profit organization focused primarily on the arts. All of 81C's art programs fall under this umbrella, including full-scale exhibitions, pop-up exhibitions, the 81C Studio, and public art project initiatives. The organization was founded in 2017, three years before 81C opened its doors to the public.
Please make a charitable contribution today which will support our various programs. Below you will find descriptions of our programs and more information on the organization. Donations are tax deductible.
We manage a professionally curated art gallery, hosting 7-10 full scale exhibitions per year. Each show remains on display for approximately 6-8 weeks. Our featured artist demographic breakdown is typically 80% St. Thomas based and 20% internationally based artists.
We host pop-up shows in our reception and event space, featuring predominantly art, but also craft retail, culinary, and literary events. Pop-ups can take on any form.
81C Studio offers no-cost studio workspace to St. Thomas based artists who qualify. We assist in sourcing materials and art supplies and create opportunities for artists to grow.
This project is also an emerging mentorship program, pairing participants with aspiring artists through a third par education/arts liaison.
